Dried Mutton Gravy

Ingredients: 

  1. Dry Mutton     250    g
  2. Onion     8    nos.
  3. Red Chillies     6    nos.
  4. Cumin Seeds     5    tsp
  5. Brinjal Small    100    g
  6. Turmeric Powder     ½    tsp
  7. Grated Coconut     1    cup
  8. Tamarind     20    g
  9. Coriander Seeds (Malli)     2    stalks
  10. Oil     2    tbsp

Description:
 

  1. Soak the dried mutton in water and break the mutton pieces into small.
  2. Chop the onions nicely.
  3. Fry the red chillies and cumin seeds and grind it with the grated coconut into a fine paste.
  4. Cut the brinjal into small pieces. Put it in salted water and keep it aside.
  5. Soak the tamarind in hot water and take thick tamarind pulp.
  6. Heat oil in a cooker and fry the chopped onions with turmeric powder and salt.
  7. Add the grinded paste and the mutton pieces with little water into the pressure cooker and cook until the mutton is soft.
  8. When the mutton get cooked, add brinjal and tamarind pulp to the boiling masala and cook.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
  10. 'Dried Mutton Gravy' is ready to serve.
