  1. Suji Wheat     2    cup
  2. Jaggery(Sarkkara)     ½    Kg
  3. Ghee     4    tsp
    1. First Coconut Milk      1½    cups
    2. Second Coconut Milk      4    cup
    3. Third Coconut Milk      4    cup
    1. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)      50    g
    2. Cashew Nuts      50    g
  4. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     1    tsp
  5. Water     6    cup


  1. Wash and drain the suji wheat.
  2. Boil the water in a sauce pan, add jaggery and melt till all the particles separate.
  3. Heat a " uruli" or kadai pour 6 cup of water and bring to boil.Add the suji wheat and cook,till done.
  4. Pour the jaggery into suji wheat and stir it well.
  5. Add 2tsp of ghee and mix it.
  6. Add third coconut milk,when it becomes boil add second coconut milk.Keep string till thickens.
  7. Finally add first coconut milk and stir it for 2 minutes.And remove from the fire.
  8. Heat remaining ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and kismis.
  9. Add cardomom poweder, garnish with nuts and kismis.
  10. Serve hot or chilled.
