Coconut Burfi

  1. Grated Coconut     2    cups
  2. Sugar     1    cup
  3. Cardamom(Elakka) Powder     2    pinch
  4. Raisins (Unakka Munthiri)     10    g
  5. Water     ¼    cup


  1. Roast the coconut for a while to remove moisture.
  2. Add 1/4 cup water to sugar and heat on low fire.
  3. When one-thread stage comes, add this and kismis to coconut
  4. Add cardamom powder.
  5. Stir and spread on a greased plate.
  6. Let it cool and cut into desired shape.
